Stocks slump to 1-1/2 yr low





Mar. 7 - Wall Street closed the week at 18-month lows after the biggest job cuts in nearly 5 years and word of a near-collapse of a mortgage lender. The Dow fell 146 points to 11,893.
The S&P 500 lost 10 points to 1,293.
The Nasdaq dipped 8 points to 2,212.
Crude oil fell after hitting a new record of $106.54
