Bush to ask for oil production increase

May 7. - When President Bush visits Saudi Arabia as part of a Mideast trip next week, he is expected to ask for an increase in oil production.With oil surging to new highs, President Bush is expected to ask Saudi officials for an increase in OPEC output. On his last visit to Saudi Arabia, Bush urged OPEC to boost production because the high price of oil was hurting the economies of its customers, but the oil group did not do so.
