Mounting worries sink stock market



Mar. 6- U.S. stocks tumbled to lows not seen since late January as renewed worries about the financial and housing sectors pummeled investor sentiment.

The Dow tumbled 214 points to 12,040.
The S&P 500 lost 29 points to 1,304.
The Nasdaq was down 52 points to 2,220.
Crude oil closed at a new record of $105.47
