GM offers massive buyout

Feb 12 - General Motors, in a bid to turn around its North American operations, offered early retirement or buyouts to all of its unionized hourly employees.America's largest automaker expects North American sales to improve in the second half of the year after what is expected to be a rough start to 2008.
